An 18-karat yellow gold ballerina brooch modeled as a dancer wearing a flared, pleated skirt. The bodice is set with emeralds, while the skirt is decorated with ruby-set floral motifs. A pearl forms the dancer’s head, and the raised arms hold sculptural fan-form accessories.

The design recalls the ballerina jewels created by John Rubel Co. and other American and French makers during the mid-20th century; however, the brooch is unsigned and no maker attribution is made.
